X3: The Last Stand

Though he thoroughly enjoyed Hugh Jackman's role as Wolverine, acclaimed actor and director Taylor Chadwick hated "X3: The Last Stand", which hit theatres last week.

"I didn't like the director, the writing, all of the storm shit was ridiculously stupid. I agree, there will be no more x men movies."

Taylor is a well known movie critic in his hometown of Red Deer, AB where he currently works while aspiring in the theatre business.

"I was thoroughly disappointed"

His screenplay success has been shown in various drama festivals-- his one act play "It's Hell!" premeired last August in the Nickle Studio which recieved rave reviews.

"I felt that the script was low class and deviated from the original x-men stories in a hopeless attempt to give the story a moral feeling and emotional leeway with the audience. Brett Ratner is one of the worst directors alive to day."

His view is shared by many moviegoers, who rate the film collectively on Cinemaclock.com at a mere 7.4/10.

"Shit. Just pure shit."

Although I enjoyed this movie immensely, Taylor Chadwick wouldn't bet on a fourth film, despite the weekend box office success which net $102,000,000 on its opening weekend, and currently has made $107,000,000 in total revenue [as of May 28th].

Yahoo.Com reports that "On the all-time list, "X-Men: The Last Stand" ranks behind only "Spider-Man," "Star Wars: Episode III" and "Shrek 2" for opening weekend gross. None of the other films opened on a holiday weekend, which usually gives movies a boost. For Memorial Day openers, "X-Men" crushed the previous three-day high of $72 million, set by "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in 1997. "

"Brett Ratner ruined one of the most hopeful movie franchises in film history. It's too bad Bryan Singer (director of X2-one of the best super hero movies of current) is directing Superman next.... Oh wait that's not bad because Bryan Singer is skilled and Brett Ratner is a piece of shit."

To Do To Do To Do

220506 - As a result of the huge amount of work i've been bogged down with, Darkflame Studios will not be putting on any more concerts until the third week of July, when DS goes on its Summer Tour 2006. In the meantime, along with the 15 hours of new footage that needs editing, I have plenty to keep me busy. To name a few things, The 30 Minute Series, the Laidlaw Wedding, the May 12th Show DVD, the May 5th Show DVD, the May 6th Show DVD...

LBSC TRAILER

I've been so busy lately trying to get all the video from the last three weeks onto my computer-- I still have four tapes to go, each 60 minutes long. Once I have it all, plus the wedding footage i'm shooting thisafternoon, i'll be able to spend some time editing and master these DVD's. I'm trying to upload as much trailer footage as possible to keep my visitors satisfied and coming back, and I promise the DVD's will be up soon.

Meanwhile, if you care to donate to Darkflame Studios and sponsor the Spring or Summer production season you can click the following link and paypal me some money. You would be most kind and generous to do so.

Tuesday Afternoon And The Sun Blisters

I know that you've all been wondering what has been going on. There's the occasional ad, the videos are being posted... but what is Darkflame Studios doing right now? What is being developed? Well there are some film projects in the works right now. First off, something I like to call The 30 Minute Series. It's a podcast-youtube miniseries consisting of 15 two minute episodes, starring Sean Tyler Foley, Sarah Bain, Alix Deveau and Daniel White. And as I work my way through editing the three concerts that i've filmed the last two weeks, fight off the rising summer temperature, and prepare to videograph my cousins wedding this weekend, i've decided to become a house framer by day.

All I have to remember is 4pm at Crossroads Church on Friday. If I can get through the week, I will be there. On another note, I have Darkflame Shirts now for $15. More will be coming too; some different designs, and some ladies speghetti straps. Roisena Lavery is going to do some design and coordination for Darkflame Studios merchandise. Cody Murray is making these shirts for me (and doing an amazing job might I add). Jason Stashko and I are putting on two more shows at the end of the month, one on Wednesday May 24th at Sapphire on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, AB. Cody's sisters boyfriend Orchestra is starting a band with me called At The Drive In 2. I'm undecided as to whether I should play bass or guitar.
